Generally, beef is considered safe to eat when it reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit and is allowed to rest for at least 3 minutes.
That being said, you might like your steak cook a little more or a little less than medium. Inserting a meat thermometer into the steak is the best way to gauge the degree to which the steak is cooked.
When it comes to steak bites, most will be cooked medium well to well if you aren’t stopping the air frying process early to check the internal temperature.
Rare
A rare steak bite will have a cold, red center and an internal temperature of 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
Medium rare
A medium rare steak will have a warm, red center and an internal temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
Medium
A medium cooked steak will have a warm pink center and an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Medium well
A steak cooked medium well will have a slightly pink center and an internal temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Well done
A steak bite cooked well done will have no pink center an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
