SNICKERS APPLE SALAD
It’s warming up which means it’s time to fire up the grill and get your BBQ on. If there’s a potluck to be had, I’m the one who always brings dessert.
I’ve brought this Snickers Apple Salad to many a BBQ and the dish always comes home without any left. That’s always a good sign.
WHAT IS SNICKERS APPLE SALAD?
This is not your traditional salad with greens. This salad, he he, is filled with sweet treats. How can you go wrong with apples, Snickers, and pudding?
First, I started with some vibrant yellow Opal apples. They’re sweet, crispy, and are known for their naturally non-browning nature. They’re a cross between a Topaz and a Golden Delicious apple.
These are the apples I send in my school lunches because they don’t brown at all! They have a naturally non-oxidizing quality that makes them great for desserts like this one. Green apples are so pretty here too!
Snickers happens to be my husband’s favorite chocolate treat. Plus, caramel and nuts are the perfect combination for apples.
If you don’t have a trifle bowl, you can definitely just layer in a any glass bowl. Trust me, it all tastes the same on your plate!
I make a lot of food in my house and everyone was trying to steal bites of this Snicker Apple Salad before I could take a picture of it!
How good does this Snickers Apple Salad look? Normally you would have to worry about those apples turning brown but not with these Opal apples!
