People either love or hate the classic green bean casserole for Thanksgiving. I actually like it but this is a different alternative for the big meal and it won’t hog your oven time. Green beans, bacon, almonds, butter…what’s not to love.

Green Beans with Baco
Green Beans with Bacon is an easy side dish that is savory and delicious!
- 1 lb green beans
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Snap the ends off the green beans and cut or snap into 1 ½ inch pieces.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the green beans and almonds. Start cooking and sprinkle with garlic salt.

Continue cooking for about 5-7 minutes or until green beans are tender to desired level. Add more salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with the bacon and eat.
